What is a workspace in ReacherX?

Keep hiring, customer research, and other searches separate, with their own people, instructions, and progress.

You don't need to know what a workspace is before using ReacherX. It's just where you keep the people and work for one purpose.

Suppose you're building an app. You need people to try it, but you also need a designer to help finish it. I'd put those in two workspaces. You're looking for different people, and what you say to them will be different too.

One workspace for each job

Call the first one “People to try the app”. Tell △ Agent who the app is for and what you'd like help testing. The people it finds, your plans for contacting them, and what you've learned belong here.

Call the other one “Hire a designer”. Explain the design work, the experience you need, and what you can offer. Because the description is about hiring, ReacherX sets the workspace up for recruiting: you'll see hiring stages such as Interviewing and Hired, and △ Agent gets instructions for that kind of work.

Now you can switch between the two. You don't have to explain that you're hiring every time you open the hiring workspace.

What stays in each workspace?

The audience requirements, saved people, outreach plans, memories, and reporting are separate. If you save “don't ask for a call in the first message” in your app-testing workspace, that's where the instruction belongs. It doesn't become a rule for every workspace you create.

This is useful beyond hiring and customers. You might want to find podcast guests, invite people into a community, or look for partners. I want ReacherX to work for those things too. Finding the right people is a problem that comes up in almost everything.

You don't need a new workspace for every person. If you're approaching ten people for the same role, keep them together. Create another workspace when the purpose or the ongoing instructions are different enough to need one.

Does it give me a separate account?

No. Your connected X/Twitter and LinkedIn accounts belong to your user account. A new workspace doesn't give you a new sender identity, so check the connected account before contacting anyone.

The number of workspaces available also depends on your plan.

Start with one purpose you can explain clearly. Give the workspace a name you'll recognize when you return to it, then describe who you need and why. Changing the name alone won't change △ Agent's search. You need to update the audience and instructions when the work changes.

Once that's set up, save the preferences you want ReacherX to remember. That will save you repeating the same corrections later.
